The impressive capabilities of next generation sequencing technologies, together with novel and ever evolving distinct types of omics data technologies, have put an increasingly complex set of challenges for the growing fields of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology. The analysis of the datasets produced and their integration call for new algorithms and approaches from fields such as Databases, Statistics, Data Mining, Machine Learning, Optimization, Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence. Clearly, Biology is more and more a science of information requiring tools from the computational sciences. In the last few years, we have seen the surge of a new generation of interdisciplinary scientists that have a strong background in the biological and computational sciences. In this context, the interaction of researchers from different scientific fields is, more than ever, of foremost importance boosting the research efforts in the field and contributing to the education of a new generation of Bioinformatics scientists. PACBB‘16 hopes to contribute to this effort promoting this fruitful interaction. PACBB'16 technical program included 21 papers spanning many different sub-fields in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology. Therefore, the conference will certainly promote the interaction of scientists from diverse research groups and with a distinct background (computer scientists, mathematicians, biologists). The scientific content will certainly be challenging and will promote the improvement of the work being developed by each of the participants.Advances in Intelligent Systems and Computing,2194-5357 ;477Computational intelligenceArtificial intelligenceBioinformaticsComputational Intelligencehttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/T11014Artificial Intelligencehttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I21000Computational Biology/Bioinformaticshttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I23050Computational intelligence.Artificial intelligence.Bioinformatics.Computational Intelligence.Artificial Intelligence.Computational Biology/Bioinformatics.570.285Saberi Mohamad Mohdedthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edtRocha Miguel Pedthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edtFdez-Riverola Florentinoedthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edtDomínguez Mayo Francisco Jedthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edtDe Paz Juan Fedthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edtMiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK991025422810332110th International Conference on Practical Applications of Computational Biology & Bioinformatics1539933UNINA02189nam 2200517z- 450 991055760200332120211118(CKB)5400000000045383(oapen)https://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/74043(oapen)doab74043(EXLCZ)99540000000004538320202111d2020 |y 0engurmn|---annantxtrdacontentcrdamediacrrdacarrierAnger and Interpersonal AggressionFrontiers Media SA20201 online resource (278 p.)2-88963-904-5 This eBook is a collection of articles from a Frontiers Research Topic. Frontiers Research Topics are very popular trademarks of the Frontiers Journals Series: they are collections of at least ten articles, all centered on a particular subject. With their unique mix of varied contributions from Original Research to Review Articles, Frontiers Research Topics unify the most influential researchers, the latest key findings and historical advances in a hot research area!
