The Uruguayan financial system has been characterized by solid balance sheets, a low level of credit, and continued high dollarization since the crisis in 2002. However, pockets of vulnerability remain, especially after the recent slowdown in economic growth. Nonfinancial public sector (NFPS) gross debt is fairly high at 48 percent of GDP. The NFPS as well as the public sector as a whole have a net open foreign currency position. The nonbank financial system also has a large exposure to government debt.IMF Staff Country Reports; Country Report ;No. 2017/029Inflation (Finance)UruguayBanks and BankingimfLaborimfMacroeconomicsimfMoney and Monetary PolicyimfPublic FinanceimfInterest Rates: Determination, Term Structure, and EffectsimfBanksimfDepository InstitutionsimfMicro Finance InstitutionsimfMortgagesimfAggregate Factor Income DistributionimfSocial Security and Public PensionsimfMonetary Policy, Central Banking, and the Supply of Money and Credit: GeneralimfFinanceimfMonetary economicsimfBankingimfLabourimfincome economicsimfPensionsimfPension spendingimfReal interest ratesimfForeign exchangeimfIncome distributionimfExpenditureimfFinancial servicesimfCreditimfMoneyimfNational accountsimfInterest ratesimfBanks and bankingimfIncome economicsimfUruguayimfInflation (Finance)Banks and BankingLaborMacroeconomicsMoney and Monetary PolicyPublic FinanceInterest Rates: Determination, Term Structure, and EffectsBanksDepository InstitutionsMicro Finance InstitutionsMortgagesAggregate Factor Income DistributionSocial Security and Public PensionsMonetary Policy, Central Banking, and the Supply of Money and Credit: GeneralFinanceMonetary economicsBankingLabourincome economicsPensionsPension spendingReal interest ratesForeign exchangeIncome distributionExpenditureFinancial servicesCreditMoneyNational accountsInterest ratesBanks and bankingIncome economics332.4109895DcWaIMFBOOK9910165035003321Uruguay510748UNINA
