In 2016, growth slowed owing to a sharp contraction in agricultural output and subdued nonagricultural activity. The unemployment rate decreased to 9.6 percent in the third quarter of 2016 while youth unemployment remains high at 21.8 percent. Morocco’s medium-term prospects are favorable, with growth expected to rebound to 4.4 percent in 2017 and reach 4.5 percent by 2021. However, risks remain substantial, and relate mainly to growth in advanced and emerging market economies, geopolitical tensions in the region, world energy prices, and global financial market volatility.IMF Staff Country Reports; Country Report ;No. 2017/036International Monetary FundMoroccoMoney and Monetary PolicyimfInternational EconomicsimfPublic FinanceimfForeign ExchangeimfExports and ImportsimfIndustries: Financial ServicesimfMonetary PolicyimfInternational Agreements and ObservanceimfInternational OrganizationsimfDebtimfDebt ManagementimfSovereign DebtimfMonetary Policy, Central Banking, and the Supply of Money and Credit: GeneralimfInternational Lending and Debt ProblemsimfMonetary economicsimfInternational institutionsimfPublic finance & taxationimfCurrencyimfForeign exchangeimfInternational economicsimfFinanceimfMonetary policyimfInternational organizationimfPublic debtimfCreditimfMoneyimfExternal debtimfExchange rate flexibilityimfLoansimfFinancial institutionsimfInternational agenciesimfDebts, PublicimfDebts, ExternalimfMoroccoEconomic conditionsMoroccoEconomic policyMoroccoimfInternational Monetary FundMoney and Monetary PolicyInternational EconomicsPublic FinanceForeign ExchangeExports and ImportsIndustries: Financial ServicesMonetary PolicyInternational Agreements and ObservanceInternational OrganizationsDebtDebt ManagementSovereign DebtMonetary Policy, Central Banking, and the Supply of Money and Credit: GeneralInternational Lending and Debt ProblemsMonetary economicsInternational institutionsPublic finance & taxationCurrencyForeign exchangeInternational economicsFinanceMonetary policyInternational organizationPublic debtCreditMoneyExternal debtExchange rate flexibilityLoansFinancial institutionsInternational agenciesDebts, PublicDebts, External330.96405DcWaIMFBOOK9910165033903321Morocco1237363UNINA
