The regulatory and supervisory framework for liquidity and funding risk has improved since the last FSAP, but certain vulnerabilities persist and require greater attention. Finnish banks continue to rely extensively on wholesale funding, as noted in the 2010 FSAP. Although supervisory action has managed to mitigate the problem, many banks remain heavily exposed to the risk of a dry-up of unsecured wholesale funding. Also, banks hold covered bonds issued by other banks as part of their liquidity buffer.IMF Staff Country Reports; Country Report ;No. 2017/003Economic developmentFinlandBanks and BankingimfFinance: GeneralimfInvestments: BondsimfIndustries: Financial ServicesimfBanksimfDepository InstitutionsimfMicro Finance InstitutionsimfMortgagesimfGeneral Financial Markets: General (includes Measurement and Data)imfFinancial Institutions and Services: Government Policy and RegulationimfFinancing PolicyimfFinancial Risk and Risk ManagementimfCapital and Ownership StructureimfValue of FirmsimfGoodwillimfGeneral Financial Markets: Government Policy and RegulationimfBankingimfFinancial services law & regulationimfInvestment & securitiesimfFinanceimfCovered bondsimfLiquidity requirementsimfCredit riskimfFinancial stability assessmentimfFinancial regulation and supervisionimfFinancial sector policy and analysisimfLoansimfFinancial institutionsimfBank supervisionimfBanks and bankingimfBondsimfState supervisionimfFinancial risk managementimfFinancial services industryimfFinlandEconomic conditionsFinlandForeign economic relationsEuropeFinlandimfEconomic developmentBanks and BankingFinance: GeneralInvestments: BondsIndustries: Financial ServicesBanksDepository InstitutionsMicro Finance InstitutionsMortgagesGeneral Financial Markets: General (includes Measurement and Data)Financial Institutions and Services: Government Policy and RegulationFinancing PolicyFinancial Risk and Risk ManagementCapital and Ownership StructureValue of FirmsGoodwillGeneral Financial Markets: Government Policy and RegulationBankingFinancial services law & regulationInvestment & securitiesFinanceCovered bondsLiquidity requirementsCredit riskFinancial stability assessmentFinancial regulation and supervisionFinancial sector policy and analysisLoansFinancial institutionsBank supervisionBanks and bankingBondsState supervisionFinancial risk managementFinancial services industry330.9489702DcWaIMFBOOK9910162923703321FINLAND520698UNINA
