The January terrorist attacks and delays in approving the budget weighed on activity in the early part of 2016, but activity has rebounded, and real GDP growth is now projected at 5.4 percent, an improvement over 4.0 percent in 2015. The recovery is led by two new gold mines that came onstream and a sharp projected rebound in agricultural output in late 2016 and early 2017, after three disappointing years. The recovery is expected to consolidate in 2017, and growth is projected to rise to 6.1 percent as domestic and external conditions remain supportive.IMF Staff Country Reports; Country Report ;No. 2016/390BudgetingimfExports and ImportsimfMoney and Monetary PolicyimfPublic FinanceimfStatisticsimfMacroeconomicsimfNational Government Expenditures and Related Policies: InfrastructuresimfOther Public Investment and Capital StockimfInternational Lending and Debt ProblemsimfDebtimfDebt ManagementimfSovereign DebtimfNational BudgetimfBudget SystemsimfMonetary Policy, Central Banking, and the Supply of Money and Credit: GeneralimfPublic finance & taxationimfInternational economicsimfBudgeting & financial managementimfMonetary economicsimfEconometrics & economic statisticsimfPublic debtimfPublic investment and public-private partnerships (PPP)imfPublic investment spendingimfBudget planning and preparationimfDebt sustainability analysisimfExpenditureimfPublic financial management (PFM)imfExternal debtimfDebts, ExternalimfDebts, PublicimfPublic-private sector cooperationimfPublic investmentsimfBudgetimfBurkina FasoEconomic conditionsBurkina FasoimfBudgetingExports and ImportsMoney and Monetary PolicyPublic FinanceStatisticsMacroeconomicsNational Government Expenditures and Related Policies: InfrastructuresOther Public Investment and Capital StockInternational Lending and Debt ProblemsDebtDebt ManagementSovereign DebtNational BudgetBudget SystemsMonetary Policy, Central Banking, and the Supply of Money and Credit: GeneralPublic finance & taxationInternational economicsBudgeting & financial managementMonetary economicsEconometrics & economic statisticsPublic debtPublic investment and public-private partnerships (PPP)Public investment spendingBudget planning and preparationDebt sustainability analysisExpenditurePublic financial management (PFM)External debtDebts, ExternalDebts, PublicPublic-private sector cooperationPublic investmentsBudgetDcWaIMFBOOK9910160292303321Burkina-Faso467224UNINA
