This book discusses randomly fluctuating interfaces in several different settings and from several points of view: discrete/continuum, microscopic/macroscopic, and static/dynamic theories. The following four topics in particular are dealt with in the book. Assuming that the interface is represented as a height function measured from a fixed-reference discretized hyperplane, the system is governed by the Hamiltonian of gradient of the height functions. This is a kind of effective interface model called ∇φ-interface model. The scaling limits are studied for Gaussian (or non-Gaussian) random fields with a pinning effect under a situation in which the rate functional of the corresponding large deviation principle has non-unique minimizers. Young diagrams determine decreasing interfaces, and their dynamics are introduced. The large-scale behavior of such dynamics is studied from the points of view of the hydrodynamic limit and non-equilibrium fluctuation theory. Vershik curves are derived in that limit. A sharp interface limit for the Allen–Cahn equation, that is, a reaction–diffusion equation with bistable reaction term, leads to a mean curvature flow for the interfaces. Its stochastic perturbation, sometimes called a time-dependent Ginzburg–Landau model, stochastic quantization, or dynamic P(φ)-model, is considered. Brief introductions to Brownian motions, martingales, and stochastic integrals are given in an infinite dimensional setting. The regularity property of solutions of stochastic PDEs (SPDEs) of a parabolic type with additive noises is also discussed. The Kardar–Parisi–Zhang (KPZ) equation , which describes a growing interface with fluctuation, recently has attracted much attention. This is an ill-posed SPDE and requires a renormalization. Especially its invariant measures are studied. .SpringerBriefs in Probability and Mathematical Statistics,2365-4333ProbabilitiesDifferential equations, PartialMathematical physicsProbability Theory and Stochastic Processeshttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/M27004Partial Differential Equationshttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/M12155Mathematical Physicshttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/M35000Probabilities.Differential equations, Partial.Mathematical physics.Probability Theory and Stochastic Processes.Partial Differential Equations.Mathematical Physics.519.2Funaki Tadahisaauthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut499280MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910157601403321Lectures on random interfaces1523422UNINA03497nam 2200745Ia 450 991096113000332120200520144314.09781438429519143842951797814416405361441640533(CKB)2670000000016771(OCoLC)593323133(CaPaEBR)ebrary10574128(SSID)ssj0000342145(PQKBManifestationID)11242790(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000342145(PQKBWorkID)10270805(PQKB)10530702(MiAaPQ)EBC3407266(MdBmJHUP)muse1651(Au-PeEL)EBL3407266(CaPaEBR)ebr10574128(DE-B1597)683432(DE-B1597)9781438429519(Perlego)2672119(EXLCZ)99267000000001677120090408d2010 ub 0engurcn|||||||||txtccrReading Derrida and Ricoeur improbable encounters between deconstruction and hermeneutics /Eftichis Pirovolakis1st ed.Albany State University of New York Pressc20101 online resource (242 p.) Pirovolakis complicates any facile distinction between these movements, which are two of the most influential streams of continental thought, and questions a certain pathos with respect to the distance separating them. Pirovolakis also translates Derrida's brief tribute to Ricoeur: "The Word: Giving, Naming, Calling," which appears here in English for the first time. The book is essential reading for anyone immersed in continental philosophy or literary theory."--BOOK JACKET.SUNY series, insinuations.Reading Derrida & RicoeurDeconstructionPhenomenology and literatureHermeneuticsLiteraturePhilosophyCriticismHistory20th centuryDeconstruction.Phenomenology and literature.Hermeneutics.LiteraturePhilosophy.CriticismHistory801/.95Pirovolakis Eftichis1970-1806008MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910961130003321Reading Derrida and Ricoeur4354923UNINA
