After having covered basic analytic and algebraic aspects, putting special emphasis on explaining the interplay between algebraic and analytic formulas, they go on to some more specialized topics. These include the j-function from an algebraic and analytic perspective, a discussion of elliptic curves over finite fields, derivation of recursion formulas for the division polynomials, the algebraic structure of the torsion points of an elliptic curve, complex multiplication, and modular forms. In an effort to motivate basic problems the book starts very slowly, but considers some aspects such as modular forms of higher level which are not usually treated. It presents more than 100 exercises and a Mathematica™ notebook that treats a number of calculations involving elliptic curves. The book is aimed at students of mathematics with a general interest in elliptic curves but also at students of computer science interested in their cryptographic aspects.Algebraic geometrybicsscConvex and discrete geometrymscAlgebraic geometrymscAlgebraic geometryConvex and discrete geometryAlgebraic geometry52-xx14-xxmscEkedahl Torsten471656ch0018173BOOK9910151938003321One semester of elliptic curves229439UNINA03581nam 22006495 450 991030016980332120200702052553.03-319-18308-710.1007/978-3-319-18308-4(CKB)3710000000494201(EBL)4068045(SSID)ssj0001585072(PQKBManifestationID)16262991(PQKBTitleCode)TC0001585072(PQKBWorkID)14864926(PQKB)10203135(DE-He213)978-3-319-18308-4(MiAaPQ)EBC4068045(PPN)190525959(EXLCZ)99371000000049420120151022d2015 u| 0engur|n|---|||||txtccrEndometriosis A Comprehensive Update /by Sajal Gupta, Avi Harlev, Ashok Agarwal1st ed. 2015.Cham :Springer International Publishing :Imprint: Springer,2015.1 online resource (122 p.)SpringerBriefs in Reproductive Biology,2194-4253Description based upon print version of record.3-319-18307-9 Includes bibliographical references.Introduction -- Predisposing and protective factors of endometriosis -- Theories on endometriosis -- Oxidative stress and endometriosis -- Role of iron in the pathogenesis of endometriosis -- Role of environmental pollutants in endometriosis -- Endometriosis and ovarian cancer -- Endometriosis: impact on quality of life -- Diagnosis of endometriosis -- Management of endometriosis -- Concluding remarks. This SpringerBrief provides an update on endometriosis research -- from the underlying mechanisms, predisposing factors, role of environmental pollutants, treatment options, impact on quality of life, and biomarkers, to emerging treatment modalities in order to help clinicians to pursue a patient-centered approach in managing the disease. This book provides clinicians with a better insight into early diagnosis and management of endometriosis. It explores the possible identification of proteins in different types of endometriosis diseases and at different stages of the progression. This may aid in the discovery of potential biomarkers for non-invasive diagnosis of these diseases. The ability to identify a protein, common between women of different races, ages and in different regions of the world will hopefully contribute to improving women’s health worldwide.SpringerBriefs in Reproductive Biology,2194-4253Reproductive healthOxidative stressGynecologyReproductive Medicinehttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/H56002Oxidative Stresshttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/L16070Gynecologyhttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/H26006Reproductive health.Oxidative stress.Gynecology.Reproductive Medicine.Oxidative Stress.Gynecology.610Gupta Sajalauthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut789685Harlev Aviauthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/autAgarwal Ashokauthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/autBOOK9910300169803321Endometriosis2510882UNINA
