Less developed within this field is the analysis of what we might term minor or small national cinemas, despite the increasing significance of these small entities with the international domain of moving image production, distribution and consumption. The Cinema of Small Nations is the first major analysis of small national cinemas, comprising twelve case studies of small national - and sub national - cinemas from around the world, including Ireland, Denmark, Iceland, Scotland, Bulgaria, Tunisia, Burkina Faso, Cuba, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong and New Zealand. Written by an array of distinguished and emerging scholars, each of the case studies provides a detailed analysis of the particular cinema in question, with an emphasis on the last decade, considering both institutional and textual issues relevant to the national dimension of each cinema. While each chapter contains an in-depth analysis of the particular cinema in question, the book as a whole provides the basis for a broader and more properly comparative understanding of small or minor national cinemas, particularly with regard to structural constraints and possibilities, the impact of globalization and internationalisation, and the role played by economic and cultural factors in small-nation contexts. Key features: * the first major study of a range of small national cinemas * detailed and informative studies of particular small national cinemas from around the globe * an implicit comparative element that reveals major similarities and differences across the case studies * a strong line up of international contributors including a number of major internationally recognised experts in the field * written in an accessible style to appeal to students, academics and the general reader alike.Motion picture industryMotion picturesHistoryStates, SmallMotion picture industry.Motion picturesHistory.States, Small.791.43Hjort MettePetrie Duncan J.1963-UkCbUPUkCbUPBOOK9910454101403321The cinema of small nations2441732UNINA03862nam 2200661Ia 450 991013952310332120200520144314.01-118-20978-81-282-49082-697866124908280-470-54239-X0-470-54238-1(CKB)2550000000007140(EBL)484839(OCoLC)647849219(SSID)ssj0000334787(PQKBManifestationID)11266955(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000334787(PQKBWorkID)10271483(PQKB)11263182(MiAaPQ)EBC484839(Au-PeEL)EBL484839(CaPaEBR)ebr10361276(CaONFJC)MIL249082(PPN)170229718(EXLCZ)99255000000000714020090506d2010 uy 0engur|n|---|||||txtccrApplied hydroaeromechanics in oil and gas drilling[electronic resource] /Eugeniy G. Applied Hydroaeromechanics in Oil and Gas Drilling offers a unique resource for properly modeling and understanding the hydrodynamic forces affecting a drilling site. Combining hydrodynamic theory with specific drilling applications, this coverage provides readers with a comprehensive reference for designing, planning, and optimizing drilling operations.Oil well drillingGas well drillingHydraulicsOil well drilling.Gas well drilling.Hydraulics.622.3381Leonov Eugeniy G.1935-927565Isaev Valeriy I.1940-927566MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910139523103321Applied hydroaeromechanics in oil and gas drilling2083998UNINA
