This book provides a comprehensive and detailed analysis of the five main parties of the extreme right in the Netherlands (Centrumdemocraten, Centrumpartij), Belgium (Vlaams Blok), and Germany (Die Republikaner, Deutsche Volksunion). Using primary research - including internal party documents - it concludes that rather than right-wing and extremist, the core ideology of these parties is xenophobic nationalist, including also a mix of law and order and welfare chauvinism. The author's research and conclusions have broader implications for the study of the extreme-right phenomenon and party ideology in general.Political partiesNetherlandsRight-wing extremistsNetherlandsNetherlandsPolitics and government1945-Centrumdemocraten.Centrumpartij.Deutsche Volksunion.Die Republikaner.Vlaams Blok.extreme right.law and order.party ideology.welfare chauvinism.xenophobic nationalist.Political partiesRight-wing extremists324.2492Mudde Cas477278WaSeSSWaSeSSBOOK9910297042903321Ideology of the extreme right1801999UNINA04425oam 22011174 450 991078648170332120230801225350.01-4755-1289-91-4755-1288-0(CKB)2670000000278841(EBL)1607020(MiAaPQ)EBC1607020(Au-PeEL)EBL1607020(CaPaEBR)ebr10627062(OCoLC)813461642(IMF)WPIEE2012247(IMF)WPIEA2012247(EXLCZ)99267000000027884120020129d2012 uf 0engur|n|---|||||txtrdacontentcrdamediacrrdacarrierUkraine Gas Pricing Policy : Distributional Consequences of Tariff Increases /Pritha Mitra, Ruben AtoyanWashington, D.C. :International Monetary Fund,2012.1 online resource (24 p.)IMF Working PapersDescription based upon print version of record.1-4755-1287-2 Includes bibliographical references.Cover; Abstract; Contents; A. Summary Statistics; 2. Determinants of Heating Demand; 3. Determinants of Gas Demand; BibliographyUkraine’s gas pricing policy subsidizes gas and heating for all households. As the cost of imported gas rises, this policy increasingly weighs on government finances, sustains energy over-consumption, dampens investment in delivery systems, and undermines incentives for domestic production. However, gas price hikes have been deferred to the medium-term as they are politically unpopular. Through estimation of household demand functions by income quintiles to evaluate the distributional consequences of tarrif reform, this paper finds that tariff reforms combined with targeted social support can address the economic inefficiencies of the current pricing policy without large welfare costs to the lower income segments of the population.IMF Working Papers; Working Paper ;No. 2012/247Natural gasPricesUkraineNatural gasEconomic aspectsUkraineMacroeconomicsimfPublic FinanceimfTaxationimfAggregate Factor Income DistributionimfTrade PolicyimfInternational Trade OrganizationsimfMacroeconomics: ConsumptionimfSavingimfWealthimfPrice LevelimfInflationimfDeflationimfNational Government Expenditures and Related Policies: GeneralimfPublic finance & taxationimfIncomeimfTariffsimfConsumptionimfPrice elasticityimfExpenditureimfNational accountsimfTaxesimfPricesimfTariffimfEconomicsimfExpenditures, PublicimfUkraineimfNatural gasPricesNatural gasEconomic aspectsMacroeconomicsPublic FinanceTaxationAggregate Factor Income DistributionTrade PolicyInternational Trade OrganizationsMacroeconomics: ConsumptionSavingWealthPrice LevelInflationDeflationNational Government Expenditures and Related Policies: GeneralPublic finance & taxationIncomeTariffsConsumptionPrice elasticityExpenditureNational accountsTaxesPricesTariffEconomicsExpenditures, PublicMitra Pritha1574037Atoyan Ruben855108DcWaIMFBOOK9910786481703321Ukraine Gas Pricing Policy3858204UNINA
