Program implementation in Ghana remains broadly satisfactory, but the economic outlook remains difficult and fiscal challenges are mounting. The growth outlook for 2016 and 2017 has weakened, mainly owing to disruptions in oil production, and non-oil economic activity is expected to remain subdued owing to continued fiscal consolidation and tight monetary policy. There was broad agreement with the authorities on the need to sustain a tight monetary stance given the still high inflation. The IMF staff recommends completion of the third review.IMF Staff Country Reports; Country Report ;No. 2016/321Economic developmentGhanaBanks and BankingimfExports and ImportsimfMacroeconomicsimfPublic FinanceimfIndustries: Financial ServicesimfTaxationimfInvestments: EnergyimfDebtimfDebt ManagementimfSovereign DebtimfBanksimfDepository InstitutionsimfMicro Finance InstitutionsimfMortgagesimfInternational Lending and Debt ProblemsimfFiscal PolicyimfInvestmentimfCapitalimfIntangible CapitalimfCapacityimfNational Government Expenditures and Related Policies: GeneralimfTaxation, Subsidies, and Revenue: GeneralimfPublic finance & taxationimfInternational economicsimfFinanceimfBankingimfInvestment & securitiesimfPublic debtimfFiscal consolidationimfExternal debtimfDebt reschedulingimfExpenditureimfRevenue administrationimfOil, gas and mining taxesimfTaxesimfDebts, ExternalimfDebts, PublicimfFiscal policyimfBanks and bankingimfLoansimfExpenditures, PublicimfRevenueimfGhanaEconomic conditionsGhanaimfEconomic developmentBanks and BankingExports and ImportsMacroeconomicsPublic FinanceIndustries: Financial ServicesTaxationInvestments: EnergyDebtDebt ManagementSovereign DebtBanksDepository InstitutionsMicro Finance InstitutionsMortgagesInternational Lending and Debt ProblemsFiscal PolicyInvestmentCapitalIntangible CapitalCapacityNational Government Expenditures and Related Policies: GeneralTaxation, Subsidies, and Revenue: GeneralPublic finance & taxationInternational economicsFinanceBankingInvestment & securitiesPublic debtFiscal consolidationExternal debtDebt reschedulingExpenditureRevenue administrationOil, gas and mining taxesTaxesDebts, ExternalDebts, PublicFiscal policyBanks and bankingLoansExpenditures, PublicRevenue330.9667DcWaIMFBOOK9910136707903321Ghana739385UNINA
