Both nonparametric and parametric methods suggest that the residential real estate market in Ireland is close to or moderately below its equilibrium level. Two standard metrics of price-to-income and price-to-rent ratios show that following a protracted period of overvaluation prior to the crisis and a correction afterward, the market has been close to its equilibrium level in recent quarters. Households have deleveraged, but are still highly indebted. The stability analysis results also suggest that vulnerabilities among nonfinancial firms have moderated in recent years.IMF Staff Country Reports; Country Report ;No. 2016/317International business enterprisesIrelandFinancial institutionsIrelandBanks and BankingimfInvestments: StocksimfReal EstateimfIndustries: Financial ServicesimfCorporate FinanceimfFinancial Risk ManagementimfFinance: GeneralimfBanksimfDepository InstitutionsimfMicro Finance InstitutionsimfMortgagesimfHousing Supply and MarketsimfPension FundsimfNon-bank Financial InstitutionsimfFinancial InstrumentsimfInstitutional InvestorsimfCorporate Finance and Governance: GeneralimfFinancial CrisesimfGeneral Financial Markets: Government Policy and RegulationimfFinanceimfProperty & real estateimfBankingimfInvestment & securitiesimfOwnership & organization of enterprisesimfEconomic & financial crises & disastersimfLoansimfHousing pricesimfStocksimfFinancial institutionsimfPricesimfCorporate sectorimfEconomic sectorsimfFinancial crisesimfHousingimfBanks and bankingimfBusiness enterprisesimfIrelandimfInternational business enterprisesFinancial institutionsBanks and BankingInvestments: StocksReal EstateIndustries: Financial ServicesCorporate FinanceFinancial Risk ManagementFinance: GeneralBanksDepository InstitutionsMicro Finance InstitutionsMortgagesHousing Supply and MarketsPension FundsNon-bank Financial InstitutionsFinancial InstrumentsInstitutional InvestorsCorporate Finance and Governance: GeneralFinancial CrisesGeneral Financial Markets: Government Policy and RegulationFinanceProperty & real estateBankingInvestment & securitiesOwnership & organization of enterprisesEconomic & financial crises & disastersLoansHousing pricesStocksFinancial institutionsPricesCorporate sectorEconomic sectorsFinancial crisesHousingBanks and bankingBusiness enterprises338.888415Monetary and Capital Markets Department.DcWaIMFBOOK9910136700103321Ireland222393UNINA
