H2S plays a vital role in the mechanism of response/adaptation to adverse environmental conditions as well as crosstalk with other signaling molecules, including ROS, by affecting the corresponding gene expression and subsequent enzyme activities. Both H2S and ROS are potent signaling molecules that can provoke reversible and irreversible oxidative post-translational modifications on cysteine residues of proteins such as sulfenylation or persulfidation, affecting the redox status and function of the target proteins. The dynamic interplay between persulfidation and sulfenylation occurring on cysteine residues is of great importance in response to environmental changes. The present Special Issue of IJMS has the aim of providing the most current findings on the function of signaling molecules, including H2S and ROS, in higher plants, and it is open to different types of manuscripts, including original research papers, perspectives, or reviews where either ROS, H2S, or related molecules could be involved at the biochemical or physiological levels.Mathematics & sciencebicsscBiology, life sciencesbicsscMolecular biologybicsscantioxidant defense systemsCd stresshydrogen sulfidemelatoninoxidative stresstransportation and sequestrationnitric oxideabscisic acidCa2+hydrogen peroxideabiotic stressessignal transmittersstomatal movementpersulfidationdrought stressnitrate reductasel-cysteine desulfhydrasechilling stressindole-3-acetic acidsignaling pathwaycalcium deficiencyendogenous H2Sreactive oxygen speciesERF2-bHLH2-CML5 modulepostharvest storage qualitytomatocysteine desulfhydraseleaf senescenceARFauxincold stresscucumberDREBmoduleresistanceroot growthheavy metalsaltDES1ABI4protein stabilityBrassica rapamercuryseleniumbiotic stressabiotic stresssalicylic acidjasmonic acidethylenephytohormonesArabidopsismanganese stressL-cysteine desulfhydraseantioxidant enzymeAlliumgarlicgas detectorion-selective microelectrodeisozymesRBOHssignaling networksMathematics & scienceBiology, life sciencesMolecular biologyXie Yanjieedt1320372Corpas FranciscoedtLi JishengedtXie YanjieothCorpas FranciscoothLi JishengothBOOK9910619463703321Hydrogen Sulfide and Reactive Oxygen Species, Antioxidant Defense, Abiotic Stress Tolerance Mechanisms in Plants3034202UNINA02123nam 2200685zu 450 991015316370332120231110225336.09782336363363233636336497823367134722336713470(CKB)3810000000042039(SSID)ssj0001456800(PQKBManifestationID)12631065(PQKBTitleCode)TC0001456800(PQKBWorkID)11436678(PQKB)10915172(MiAaPQ)EBC6150788(Au-PeEL)EBL6150788(OCoLC)1148903654(PPN)186347936(EXLCZ)99381000000004203920160829d2014 uy freurcnu||||||||txtccrCorps et représentations : une liaison dangereuse1st ed.[Place of publication not identified]L'Harmattan20141 online resource (342 pages)Mouvements des Savoirs Bibliographic Level Mode of Issuance: Monograph9782343045245 2343045240 Mouvements des Savoirs Corps et représentationsHuman figure in artSocial aspectsCongressesHuman body in literatureCongressesHuman bodyCongressesArt, Architecture & Applied ArtsHILCCFine Arts - GeneralHILCCHuman figure in artSocial aspectsHuman body in literatureHuman bodyArt, Architecture & Applied ArtsFine Arts - GeneralChapuis-Despres Stéphanie1232719Chapuis-Despres StâephanieGonod MathieuGonod MathieuCodet CécileCodet CâecileEcole normale supérieure de Lyon,PQKBBOOK9910153163703321Corps et représentations : une liaison dangereuse2862271UNINA
