List of Countries in the Sample; References; FootnotesWhile new conventional wisdom warns that developing countries should be aware of the risks of premature capital account liberalization, the costs of not removing exchange controls have received much less attention. This paper investigates the negative effects of exchange controls on trade. To minimize evasion of controls, countries often intensify inspections at the border and increase documentation requirements. Thus, the cost of conducting trade rises. The paper finds that a one standard-deviation increase in the controls on trade payment has the same negative effect on trade as an increaseIMF working paper ;WP/07/8.Foreign exchangeLaw and legislationInternational tradeBalance of paymentsNon-tariff trade barriersElectronic books.Foreign exchangeLaw and legislation.International trade.Balance of payments.Non-tariff trade barriers.343.032Wei Shang-Jin118987Zhang Zhiwei1974-974661International Monetary Fund.Research Dept.MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910464573803321Collateral damage2219457UNINA01606nam 2200361 450 991068339440332120230704113927.03-0365-6358-X(CKB)5680000000300090(NjHacI)995680000000300090(EXLCZ)99568000000030009020230704d2023 uy 0engur|||||||||||txtrdacontentcrdamediacrrdacarrierAssessing water quality by statistical methods /Alina BarbulescuBasel, Switzerland :MDPI - Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute,[2023]©20231 online resource (252 pages)3-0365-6359-8 Human society's progress has increased the quantity of pollutants emitted into the environment. Water is one of the natural resources most affected by economic activity, with pollutants reaching water bodies without proper treatment. In this context, this book presents the latest advances and developments in statistical approaches for evaluating and forecasting water resources quality. New methodologies for analyzing and predicting the water quality that can be applied in related fields are also presented.Water qualityMathematical modelsWater qualityMathematical models.628.161Barbulescu Alina763788NjHacINjHaclBOOK9910683394403321Assessing water quality by statistical methods3394501UNINA01833nas2 2200385 n 450 99000904699040332120240229084533.0000904699FED01000904699(Aleph)000904699FED01000904699CNRP 0002660220161109b19381940km-y0itaa50------baitaauu--------Riassunto di attività varie.
