It investigates in detail aspects of intelligent transportation and smart city, mainly focusing on the green traffic and urban utility tunnels. Due to rapid development in the domain of intelligent transportation and smart city, there are many popular topics, such as the 2BMW system (bus, bike, metro, and walking), transportation safety and environment protection, urban utility design and application, and the application of BIM in the city design. It collects dozens of papers and lectures with high quality, including some authoritative scholars and most experienced engineers’ latest achievements, which provide guidance to those both in universities and entrepreneurs.Lecture Notes in Electrical Engineering,1876-1119 ;1407Transportation engineeringTraffic engineeringGeotechnical engineeringSustainabilityTelecommunicationTransportation Technology and Traffic EngineeringGeotechnical Engineering and Applied Earth SciencesSustainabilityCommunications Engineering, NetworksTransportation engineering.Traffic engineering.Geotechnical engineering.Sustainability.Telecommunication.Transportation Technology and Traffic Engineering.Geotechnical Engineering and Applied Earth Sciences.Sustainability.Communications Engineering, Networks.629.04Zeng Xiaoqing1834766Xie Xiongyao1834767Sun Jian1834768Ma Limin1834769Chen Yinong1598036MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9911016079303321International Symposium for Intelligent Transportation and Smart City (ITASC) 2025 Proceedings4410388UNINA01116nas 2200385 c 450 991089424340332120260127110947.0(CKB)3190000000020768(OCoLC)873864812(DE-101)1012634302(DE-599)ZDB2613387-8(DE-599)2613387-8(EXLCZ)99319000000002076820110609a20109999 |y ||||ur|||||||||||txtrdacontentcrdamediacrrdacarrierLingualanguage & cultureLingua Centre for the Development and Improvement of Communication in the Public Sphere, Babeş-Bolyai UniversityCluj-NapocaAccent Publ.Frankfurt, MainCEEOL2010-Online-Ressource2068-5351 Lingua Lingua, Language and CultureZeitschriftgnd-content4007,38ssgn0012DE-1019999JOURNAL9910894243403321Lingua791078UNINA06346nam 22008655 450 991048384130332120251226202948.01-280-38634-797866135642693-642-12595-610.1007/978-3-642-12595-9(CKB)2550000000011536(SSID)ssj0000399463(PQKBManifestationID)11290896(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000399463(PQKBWorkID)10376184(PQKB)10565398(DE-He213)978-3-642-12595-9(MiAaPQ)EBC3065270(PPN)149073267(EXLCZ)99255000000001153620100508d2010 u| 0engurnn#008mamaatxtccrEthics and Policy of Biometrics Third International Conference on Ethics and Policy of Biometrics and International Data Sharing, Hong Kong, January 4-5, 2010 /edited by Ajay Kumar, David Zhang1st ed. 2010.Berlin, Heidelberg :Springer Berlin Heidelberg :Imprint: Springer,2010.1 online resource (VIII, 169 p. 15 illus.)Security and Cryptology,2946-1863 ;6005Bibliographic Level Mode of Issuance: Monograph3-642-12594-8 Includes bibliographical references and index.Privacy Protection and Challenges -- Challenges Posed by Biometric Technology on Data Privacy Protection and the Way Forward -- The Dangers of Electronic Traces: Data Protection Challenges Presented by New Information Communication Technologies -- Privacy and Biometrics for Authentication Purposes: A Discussion of Untraceable Biometrics and Biometric Encryption -- From the Economics to the Behavioral Economics of Privacy: A Note -- Legal Challenges -- Legislative and Ethical Questions regarding DNA and Other Forensic "Biometric" Databases -- Are We Protected? The benefits of biometrics technologies are apparent as they become important technologies for information security of governments, business enterprises, and individuals. At the same time, however, the use of biometrics has raised concerns as to issues of ethics, privacy, and the policy implications of its wi- spread use. The large-scale deployment of biometrics technologies in e-governance, e-security, and e-commerce has required that we launch an international dialogue on these issues, a dialogue that must involve key stakeholders and that must consider the legal, poli- cal, philosophical and cultural aspects of the deployment of biometrics technologies. The Third International Conference on Ethics and Policy of Biometrics and Inter- tional Data Sharing was highly successful in facilitating suchinteraction among - searchers, policymakers, consumers, and privacy groups. This conference was supported and funded as part of the RISE project in its ongoing effort to develop wide consensus and policy recommendations on ethical, medical, legal, social, cultural, and political concerns in the usage of biometrics and data security technologies. The - tential concerns over the deployment of biometrics systems can be jointly addressed by developing smart biometrics technologies and by developing policies for the - ployment of biometrics technologies that clearly demarcate conflicts of interest - tween stakeholders.Security and Cryptology,2946-1863 ;6005Computer networksCryptographyData encryption (Computer science)Computer programmingElectronic data processingManagementAlgorithmsComputers and civilizationComputer Communication NetworksCryptologyProgramming TechniquesIT OperationsAlgorithmsComputers and SocietyComputer networks.Cryptography.Data encryption (Computer science)Computer programming.Electronic data processingManagement.Algorithms.Computers and civilization.Computer Communication Networks.Cryptology.Programming Techniques.IT Operations.Algorithms.Computers and Society.005.8Kumar Ajay950772Zhang David1949-763056International Conference on Ethics and Policy of Biometrics and International Data Sharing.MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910483841303321Ethics and policy of biometrics4202610UNINA
