This involves considerable interaction between various mathematical disciplines including theory of computation, statistics, and c- binatorics. There is also considerable interaction with the practical, empirical ?elds of machine and statistical learning in which a principal aim is to predict, from past data about phenomena, useful features of future data from the same phenomena. The papers in this volume cover a broad range of topics of current research in the ?eld of algorithmic learning theory. We have divided the 29 technical, contributed papers in this volume into eight categories (corresponding to eight sessions) re?ecting this broad range. The categories featured are Inductive Inf- ence, Approximate Optimization Algorithms, Online Sequence Prediction, S- tistical Analysis of Unlabeled Data, PAC Learning & Boosting, Statistical - pervisedLearning,LogicBasedLearning, andQuery&ReinforcementLearning. Below we give a brief overview of the ?eld, placing each of these topics in the general context of the ?eld. Formal models of automated learning re?ect various facets of the wide range of activities that can be viewed as learning. A ?rst dichotomy is between viewing learning as an inde?nite process and viewing it as a ?nite activity with a de?ned termination. Inductive Inference models focus on inde?nite learning processes, requiring only eventual success of the learner to converge to a satisfactory conclusion.Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence ;3244Artificial intelligenceComputersAlgorithmsMathematical logicNatural language processing (Computer science)Artificial Intelligencehttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I21000Computation by Abstract Deviceshttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I16013Algorithm Analysis and Problem Complexityhttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I16021Mathematical Logic and Formal Languageshttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I16048Natural Language Processing (NLP)https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I21040Artificial intelligence.Computers.Algorithms.Mathematical logic.Natural language processing (Computer science).Artificial Intelligence.Computation by Abstract Devices.Algorithm Analysis and Problem Complexity.Mathematical Logic and Formal Languages.Natural Language Processing (NLP).006.3Ben David Shaiedthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edtCase Johnedthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edtMaruoka Akiraedthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edtBOOK996465282103316Algorithmic Learning Theory771965UNISA02737nam 2200673 a 450 991097382690332120240313093751.09781283875196128387519597816116821681611682169(CKB)2550000000054569(EBL)1085020(OCoLC)823388653(SSID)ssj0000537832(PQKBManifestationID)11360757(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000537832(PQKBWorkID)10556656(PQKB)11005085(MiAaPQ)EBC1085020(OCoLC)798295801(MdBmJHUP)muse17242(Au-PeEL)EBL1085020(CaPaEBR)ebr10497682(CaONFJC)MIL418769(Perlego)4366935(EXLCZ)99255000000005456920110408d2011 uy 0engur|n|---|||||txtccrImprobable patriot the secret history of Monsieur de Beaumarchais, the French playwright who saved the American Revolution /Harlow Giles Unger1st ed.Hanover [N.H.] University Press of New Englandc20111 online resource (255 p.)Description based upon print version of record.9781584659259 1584659254 Includes bibliographical references and index. We must help the Americans -- Gold by god! : the fuel of life! -- Last night poor, wealthy today! -- So you mistreat some poor devil-- till he trembles in disgrace! -- I'm the busiest, cleverest fellow I know -- Plotting and pocketing -- I wish to serve your country as if it were my own -- Figaro here, figaro there -- Bright people are so stupid -- What did you do to earn so many rewards? -- Tout finit par des chansons = Everything ends in song -- All of which proves that a son of a clod can be worth his weight in gold. The outrageous true story of the French plot to supply arms and ammunition to Washington's Continental Army, and the bold French spy, inventor, playwright, and rogue behind it allDramatists, French18th centuryBiographyDiplomatsFranceBiographyFranceHistory18th centuryUnited StatesHistoryRevolution, 1775-1783Participation, FrenchDramatists, FrenchDiplomats842/.5BUnger Harlow G.1931-1812361MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910973826903321Improbable patriot4364750UNINA
