The fields of science and environmentalism have inherited this theme of natural unity through an intellectual lineage that encompasses many non-scientific and non-environmental fields such as sociology, theology and political philosophy. Many of these fields have used natural unity in a way which is in stark opposition to the metaphysical and political desires of those who promulgate the unity of nature for progressive social change.;This work discusses how this has transpired and examines the social and intellectual processes that have been at work. These include the social construction of the Organicism versus Mechanicism debate in ecology, the intellectual links between neo-classical economic principles and the "New Sciences", the techno-scientific background of Gaia theory, and the social conservatism of ecological functionalism.EcologyPhilosophyConcordPhilosophy of natureIntegration (Theory of knowledge)Electronic books.EcologyPhilosophy.Concord.Philosophy of nature.Integration (Theory of knowledge)577.01Marshall Alan1000061MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910451677703321The unity of nature2295629UNINA02877nam 2200673 450 99621277950331620230125181543.01-283-37462-597866133746221-118-07380-01-118-07381-910.1002/9781118073810(CKB)3460000000000101(EBL)706695(SSID)ssj0000477004(PQKBManifestationID)12190330(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000477004(PQKBWorkID)10501678(PQKB)10976267(MiAaPQ)EBC706695(CaBNVSL)mat05769543(IDAMS)0b00006481540112(IEEE)5769543(OCoLC)714797080(PPN)272870986(EXLCZ)99346000000000010120151221d2011 uy engur|n|---|||||txtccrIntroduction to IP address management /Timothy Rooney[Piscataway, New Jersey] :IEEE,c2010.[Piscataqay, New Jersey] :IEEE Xplore,[2011]1 online resource (279 p.)IEEE Press series on network management ;19Description based upon print version of record.0-470-58588-9 Includes bibliographical references (p. 255-260) and index.Frontmatter -- IP Networking Overview -- Internet Protocol Addressing -- Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) -- The Domain Name System (DNS) -- IP Address Management Overview -- IP Address Management Practices -- IP Address Management Workflow -- IPv6 Deployment and IPv4 Co-Existence -- Security Considerations -- IP Address Management Business Case -- Appendix A: IPV4 DHCP Options -- Appendix B: DHCPV6 Options -- Appendix C: DNS Resource Record Summary -- Glossary -- Bibliography -- Index."The book begins with a basic overview of IP networking, followed by chapters describing each of the three core IPAM technologies: IPv4 and IPv6 addressing, DHCP, and DNS.
