Commonly ignored by scholars, who assume that by then Jesuit theatre was disappearing and of poor quality, it appears to be very much alive and interacting with contemporary vernacular theatre. Tjoelker places Friz's poetics in its historical and literary context in an extensive introduction and presents an edition with translation. She investigates Friz's focus on the imitation of French classical writers, such as Jean Racine (1639-1699) and Pierre Corneille (1606-1684). Friz criticised his colleagues for their excessive use of multimedia ornaments, which hindered the correct application of the three classical unities and verisimilitude.Drama and theatre in early modern Europe ;Volume 4.TragedyHistory and criticismDramaHistory and criticismTheory, etcJesuit theaterEuropeHistory18th centuryJesuit dramaEuropeHistory and criticismTragedyHistory and criticism.DramaHistory and criticismTheory, etc.Jesuit theaterHistoryJesuit dramaHistory and criticism.872/.04Tjoelker NienkeMiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910823220203321Andreas Friz's letter on tragedies (ca. 1741-1744)4080874UNINA04791oam 2200781 c 450 991026384010332120260202090927.010.14361/9783839429570(CKB)4160000000000248(EBL)4403977(MiAaPQ)EBC4403977(DE-B1597)453021(OCoLC)945035029(OCoLC)954930367(DE-B1597)9783839429570(MiAaPQ)EBC6695277(Au-PeEL)EBL6695277(ScCtBLL)d7e18e49-5897-4177-b4c0-911b6d84d47d(transcript Verlag)9783839429570(oapen)https://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/37083(Perlego)1534082(oapen)doab37083(EXLCZ)99416000000000024820260202d2016 uy 0engur|n|---|||||rdacontentrdamediardacarrierAgeing and TechnologyPerspectives from the Social SciencesEmma Domínguez Rué, Linda Nierling1st ed.Bielefeldtranscript Verlag20161 online resource (341 p.)Science StudiesDescription based upon print version of record.9783837629576 3837629570 9783839429570 3839429579 Includes bibliographical references.Frontmatter 1 Table of Contents 5 All that Glitters is not Silver - Technologies for the Elderly in Context. In current debates on technology, however, the »human factor« is often largely ignored. The ageing individual is rather seen as a malfunctioning machine whose deficiencies must be diagnosed or as a set of limitations to be overcome by means of technological devices. This volume aims at focusing on the perspective of human beings deriving from the development and use of technology: this change of perspective – taking the human being and not technology first – may help us to become more sensitive to the ambivalences involved in the interaction between humans and technology, as well as to adapt technologies to the people that created the need for its existence, thus contributing to improve the quality of life of senior citizens.Science studies (Bielefeld, Germany)Domínguez-Rué et al., Ageing and TechnologyPerspectives from the Social SciencesAgeingTechnologySocial SciencesAging StudiesSociology of TechnologyBodySociologyAgeingTechnologySocial SciencesAging StudiesSociology of TechnologyBodySociology604.846Nierling Linda
Linda Nierling, Karlsruher Institut für Technologie, Deutschland
edtEmma Domínguez RuéedtMiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910263840103321Ageing and Technology1888088UNINA
