VIII.1943 And On."Despite the Luftwaffe being ordered to destroy millions of aerial photos in 1945, the Allies found no less than twenty tons of photos in eleven locations, including a hoard in a Bavarian barn. These together with vast numbers of photographs taken by German soldiers used for Intelligence analysis were put into classified Allied Intelligence files at a time when USAAF and RAF imagery was being destroyed. Covering Iron Curtain countries they were valuable for cartography and target intelligence during the Cold War. The captured German imagery (called GX) in this book show what the German Army knew about the Soviet Union before and during Operation Barbarossa. Examples show Eastern Front landforms, key cities such as Stalingrad, Moscow, Sevastopol, Leningrad and factories. They are accompanied by helpful comments from a skilled photo interpreter. This unique and diverse collection, some taken from 28,000 feet overhead, others taken by soldiers on the ground, reveal the war on the Eastern Front as it has never been seen before."--Publisher's description.World War, 1939-1945CampaignsEastern FrontEastern Front (World War (1939-1945))fastWorld War, 1939-1945Campaigns940.5421Stanley Roy M.II,1247222MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910155138403321Eastern front images2891508UNINA01681nam0 22003611i 450 UON0025402320231205103641.51449-01-55814-5v. 149-01-55815-3v. 220040608d2003 |0itac50 bajpnJP|||| 1||||Nihon no Seijikeizai to AijashokokuKyoto : The International Research Center for Japanese Studies20032 v.ill. ; 24 cmCont.vol. 1 Seijichitsujo henvol. 2 Seijikeizai henAltro inv. 110636IT-UONSI GIAXII/221 (1) N001UON001696012001 Nichibunken Japanese Studies Series210 KyotoInternational Research Center for Japanese Studies.30 (1-2)GIAPPONEPolitica economicaUONC000428FIGIAPPONEPOLITICA INTERNAZIONALEASIAUONC055415FIJPKyōtoUONL000059GIA XIIGIAPPONE - ECONOMIAAMURAMATSU KifuUONV151625689009KOGAWA KeishiUONV151626689010SHIRAISHI RyuUONV151627689011Kokusai Nihon Bunka Kenkyu SentaUONV248748650ITSOL20240220RICAUON00254023SIBA - SISTEMA BIBLIOTECARIO DI ATENEOSI GIA XII 221 (1) N SI SA 110635 5 221 (1) N Altro inv. 110636SIBA - SISTEMA BIBLIOTECARIO DI ATENEOSI GIA XII 221 (2) N SI SA 110636 7 221 (2) N Nihon no Seijikeizai to Aijashokoku1234266UNIOR
