The scholars who contributed to this book are experts in their field, carrying out cutting edge research in prestigious institutes worldwide (e.g., Harvard Medical School, University of California, MIND Institute, King’s College, Karolinska Institute, and many others). The book addressed many topics, including (1) The COVID-19 pandemic; (2) Epidemiology and prevalence; (3) Screening and early behavioral markers; (4) Diagnostic and phenotypic profile; (5) Treatment and intervention; (6) Etiopathogenesis (biomarkers, biology, and genetic, epigenetic, and risk factors); (7) Comorbidity; (8) Adulthood; and (9) Broader Autism Phenotype (BAP). This book testifies to the complexity of performing research in the field of ASD. The published contributions underline areas of progress and ongoing challenges in which more certain data is expected in the coming years. It would be desirable that experts, clinicians, researchers, and trainees could have the opportunity to read this updated text describing the challenging heterogeneity of Autism Spectrum Disorder.MedicinebicsscNeurosciencesbicsscautism spectrum disorderinfantsfrontal EEG alpha asymmetryearly detectionautism spectrum disorderstoddlerseye trackingjoint attentionlongitudinalregressioncytokinesPAI-1neuroinflammationgastrointestinalautismliterature reviewcomorbidityearly interventionearly intensive behavioral interventionbehavioral interventionFirst Year Inventoryearly screeningriskcross-cultural generalisabilityvaliditypreschool teachersself-efficacyknowledgebeliefskillsidentifyautism spectrum disorder (ASD)level 1 and level 2 screening toolssystematic reviewCOSMINPRISMAscreeninginfectionprionmeta-analysismotion analysisvideo signal processingneurodevelopmental disordersinfant screeningdevelopmental language disordersemantic featuresword learningcentral coherencebiomarkerp-cresolmouse social behaviordopamineASDvisionproprioceptionself-motionimmersive virtual realityIVRHMDtechnologypersuasive text writingperspective-takingadolescenceinterventionsign languageimitationcognitionlanguage acquisitionprevalence estimatepredictorssurveillance reviewAutism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)early intensive interventiondevelopmental trajectoriesmoderators and mediators of intervention.psychosisschizophreniapsychopathologyAQaccuracyattention to detailself-awarenessinsightpreconception risk factorGilles de la Touretteobsessioncompulsionsocial behaviorsocial impairmentsensory profilesensory responsivenessfeeding problemsshort sensory profile (SSP)sensory experience questionnaire (SEQ)coronavirus2019-nCoVneurodevelopmentchild and adolescent psychiatrymental health preventionAsperger syndromeadultscerebrospinal fluidantibodiesblood-brain barrierGAD65Early Start Denver Modelhigh-risk infantsmotor developmenthigh-functioning autismlanguageexperiencecommunicationautonomic nervous systemwearable technologiesEEGtheory of mindadults and adolescentshuman figure drawingsDraw-a-Mandrawings maturitysocial perceptionERPreward responseRewPsensitizationsocial skills interventionPEERS®adulthooddiagnosisautistic traitsaction observationaction predictioncontextpriorshypothalamusamygdalaoxytocinsocial cognitionsocial interactionaffiliative behaviorneuroimagingCOVID-19challenging behaviordental careoral healthmedical proceduresICTwearable sensorsmigrationEuropehealth systemautism in adulthoodintellectual disabilityregressive autismepilepsychallenging behaviorsempathyexecutive functionsattention deficit and hyperactivity disorderdisruptive behavior disordersalexithymiaanxietydepressionTAS-20TSIAparentsbroader autism phenotypeautistic-like featuressocial-cognitive developmentstereotypical behaviorsvisual impairmentlanguage profilesgrammatical comprehensioncannabinoidscannabidiolcannabidivarinTHCproblem behaviorssleephyperactivityside effectsmotor performance skillsGulfBOT-2machine learningemploymenttelehealthABARCTcortisolgroup activitystressartassessmentsensorimotor integrationpostural balancefalse positive report probability (FPRP)Bayesian false-discovery probability (BFDP)Genome-Wide Association Studies (GWAS)microbiomemetabolomicsstudy designbiomarker discoveryprecise medicinebipolar disordersuicidal ideationsuicidal attemptsMedicineNeurosciencesNarzisi Antonioedt1303474Narzisi AntonioothBOOK9910557596603321Advances in Autism Research3027091UNINA03640nam 2200685 a 450 991078375600332120231206232310.01-282-86071-297866128607130-7735-7055-110.1515/9780773570559(CKB)1000000000245030(OCoLC)76898633(CaPaEBR)ebrary10119908(SSID)ssj0000284897(PQKBManifestationID)11231287(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000284897(PQKBWorkID)10262730(PQKB)11428073(CaPaEBR)400034(CaBNvSL)gtp00521322(Au-PeEL)EBL3330667(CaPaEBR)ebr10132850(CaONFJC)MIL286071(OCoLC)929120867(VaAlCD)20.500.12592/4bxb3h(MiAaPQ)EBC3330667(DE-B1597)655512(DE-B1597)9780773570559(MiAaPQ)EBC3243541(EXLCZ)99100000000024503020050613d2002 uy 0engurcn|||||||||txtrdacontentcrdamediacrrdacarrierTolerant allies[electronic resource] Canada and the United States, 1963-1968 /Greg DonaghyMontreal :McGill-Queen's University Press,2002.1 online resource (246 pages)Bibliographic Level Mode of Issuance: Monograph0-7735-2431-2 Includes bibliographical references (pages [219]-229) and index.Front Matter --Contents --Acknowledgments --Introduction --An Unsteady Start --A Continental Philosophy --Converging Currencies --Defending the Deterrent --The Asian Conundrum --Containing the New Nationalists --Conclusion --Notes --Bibliography --IndexTolerant Allies draws extensively on recently declassified Canadian and American sources to explore the most important political, economic, and military elements in the bilateral relationship during the 1960s. Greg Donaghy challenges the prevailing view that relations during this turbulent decade were primarily marked by mutual hostility, the product of growing Canadian nationalism and differences over the war in Vietnam. Instead Donaghy argues that through the Autopact and the GATT, Canada and the United States crafted a new economic partnership that tied the two countries together more tightly than ever before.Donaghy shows that economic integration was offset to some extent by diverging views on Western political and military strategy. As Pearson's government pursued distinct foreign and defence policies, American policy-makers acknowledged that Canadian objectives legitimately differed from their own and adjusted their policies accordingly. For its part, Ottawa rarely moved without weighing the impact its initiatives might have on Washington. As a result, Canada and the United States found ways to accommodate each other's interests without seriously impairing bilateral cooperation.POLITICAL SCIENCE / GeneralbisacshUnited StatesForeign relationsCanadaCanadaForeign relationsUnited StatesUnited StatesForeign relations1963-1969CanadaForeign relations1945-POLITICAL SCIENCE / General.327.71073Donaghy Greg801803MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910783756003321Tolerant allies3736628UNINA03074nam0 2200541 i 450 VAN011316920230705103726.677N978149393076020180103d2015 |0itac50 baengUS|||| |||||Asymptotic laws and methods in stochasticsa volume in honour of Miklós CsörgőDonald Dawson ...
