Gruen who has written extensively on the literature and history of early Judaism and the experience of the Jews in the Greco-Roman world. His many articles on this subject have, however, appeared mostly in conference volumes and Festschriften, and have therefore not had wide circulation. By putting them together in a single work, this will bring the essays to the attention of a much broader scholarly readership and make them more readily available to students in the fields of ancient history and early Judaism. The pieces are quite varied, but develop a number of connected and related themes: Jewish identity in the pagan world, the literary representations by Jews and pagans of one another, the interconnections of Hellenism and Judaism, and the Jewish experience under Hellenistic monarchies and the Roman empire.Deuterocanonical and cognate literature studies ;Volume 29.JewsHistory586 B.C.-70 A.DJudaismHistoryPost-exilic period, 586 B.C.-210 A.DJewsIdentityTo 1500Jewish literatureHistory and criticismHellenism.Identity.Judaism.representations.JewsHistoryJudaismHistoryJewsIdentityJewish literatureHistory and criticism.909/.04924Gruen Erich S.172863Goodman Martinctbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbMiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910291731603321Constructs of identity in Hellenistic Judaism2132027UNINA01144nam0 22002891i 450 VAN000856220050818120000.088-86969-05-820020905d1997 |0itac50 baitaIT|||| |||||ˆIl ‰caos russodisordine economico, conflitti politici, decomposizione militireJacques SapirTriesteAsterios1997302 p.21 cm.001VAN00084942001 ˆI ‰giorni del futuro210 TriesteAsterios.RussiaRiforme economicheVANC005033FIRussiaCondizioni economiche e sociali1991-1195VANC005034FITriesteVANL000685SapirJacquesVANV002090140009AsteriosVANV109921650ITSOL20230616RICABIBLIOTECA DEL DIPARTIMENTO DI GIURISPRUDENZAIT-CE0105VAN00VAN0008562BIBLIOTECA DEL DIPARTIMENTO DI GIURISPRUDENZA00CONS VIII.Eo.878 00 21291 20020905 Caos russo1438386UNICAMPANIA
