Dès l'été 1940, les entreprises havraises sont contraintes de répondre aux commandes des autorités allemandes. Métallurgie, construction navale, bâtiment et travaux publics, commerce et artisanat : plusieurs dizaines d'unités productives sont mises au service de l'occupant. Bientôt, une main d'œuvre importante sera conduite vers les chantiers du mur de l'Atlantique ou vers les usines en Allemagne. Le Havre est un bon observatoire de l'économie d'occupation en France. La micro-histoire d'entreprise et les archives de l'épuration révèlent la coexistence, ici comme ailleurs dans la France occupée, des adaptations à la contrainte, des conduites zélées et des attitudes de résistance. Comment les milieux patronaux et le monde syndical ont-ils accueilli les initiatives de Vichy qui incitaient le monde de l'entreprise à se soumettre aux volontés de l'occupant ? Est-il vrai, comme on le dit parfois, que seuls les « lampistes » ont payé ? Quelles sanctions ont été appliquées ? Les entreprises utiles à la reconstruction ont-elles été relativement épargnées comme ce fut le cas dans d'autres villes ? La reconstruction urbaine et portuaire et la reconstitution des entreprises sinistrées se sont-elles effectuées au même rythme ? Aujourd'hui, le souvenir de la tragédie du bombardement allié de septembre 1944 et la célébration du patrimoine de la reconstruction ne font-ils pas écran, dans l'imaginaire du Havre, aux réalités de l'Occupation et de la sortie de guerre ? |

This research monograph presents a new dynamical framework for the study of secular morphological evolution of galaxies along the Hubble |

sequence. Classical approaches based on Boltzmann's kinetic equation, as well as on its moment-equation descendants the Euler and Navier-Stokes fluid equations, are inadequate for treating the maintenance and long-term evolution of systems containing self-organized structures such as galactic density-wave modes. A global and synthetic approach, incorporating correlated fluctuations of the constituent particles during a nonequilibrium phase transition, is adopted to supplement the continuum treatment. The cutting-edge research combining analytical, N-body simulational, and observational aspects, as well as the fundamental-physics connections it provides, make this work a valuable reference for researchers and graduate students in astronomy, astrophysics, cosmology, many-body physics, complexity theory, and other related fields.
