Emerging conceptualizations of major emotional disorders emphasize their commonalities rather than their differences, including considerable overlap in disorder phenomenology, a common set of vulnerabilities to development of emotional disorders, and generalization of treatment response across disorders. Auf der Suche nach einer besseren Zukunft wanderten im 19. und frühen 20. Jahrhundert Millionen Deutsche nach Amerika aus. Ein Kennzeichen der auslandsdeutschen Gemeinschaften war ihr vielfältiges Vereinswesen. Valentin Kramer verfolgt die Konstruktion von kollektiven Identitäten in deutschen Einwanderervereinen in Argentinien – namentlich in Schulen und evangelischen Kirchgemeinden – und zeichnet nach, wie die Vereine im Spannungsfeld zwischen staatlicher Identitätspolitik und gesellschaftlichen Aushandlungsprozessen ganz neue Wege fanden, sich mit dem »Erbe der Väter« auseinanderzusetzen. Dabei zeigt sich auch, welche Bedeutung Migrantenorganisationen auf lange Sicht für die Integration von Einwanderern haben. |
