In privat-staatlichen Regelungsstrukturen verfügt jede Seite über Mitentscheidungs- oder zumindest Konsultativbefugnisse. Es sind oft Kombinationen von rein privatrechtlichen Beziehungen und öffentlich-rechtlichen Befehlsstrukturen. Heute unter Schlagworten wie "Governance" oder "regulierte Selbstregulierung" intensiv diskutiert, reichen sie aber bis ins 19. Jahrhundert zurück.
