Sommario/riassunto

This book contains a collection of revised refereed papers selected from the presentations at the 5th East-West Conference on Human-Computer Interaction, EWHCI '95, held in Moscow, Russia, in July 1995. The main goal of the EWHCI conference series is to serve as a forum for professional and personal contact between researchers in the former Soviet Union and researchers from the rest of the world. The 13 papers presented in the volume were selected from 70 submissions; in addition there is a summary of a tutorial on activity theory by Kaptelinin, Kuutti, and Bannon. The papers are organized in sections on multi-disciplinary foundations, toolkits, education, information retrieval, hypertext theory, environments, and generation.
