Au xvie siècle, les princesses de Navarre se constituent des bibliothèques qui sont à la fois des lieux physiques, meublés, des espaces de représentation, et des collections d’ouvrages. Ces ouvrages sont la manifestation d’un pouvoir, le symbole d’une puissance. Damien Plantey, dans ce texte, donne à voir l’organisation matérielle de ces bibliothèques, circonscrites dans l’espace et dans le temps, et l’organisation intellectuelle de leurs ouvrages. Cet ouvrage est issu d’une thèse soutenue en 2011. |
