Includes translations of the breves and of the letter.

"Triplici nodo, triplex cuneus" has separate dated title page on leaf (t)4; the text proper begins on A1r with caption title "An apologie for the oath of allegiance" and new pagination.

This edition lacks a day and month date on the title page and the warning against the unrevised copy on the verso. Variant: with the warning inserted on an extra leaf at end.

Leaves d3, l3, n4, and t1 are cancels in the CSmH copy.
