The bottom half of page [1] and all of page [2] contain "Reasons and arguments in law, humbly offered for a bill for the relief and maintenance of poor prisoners".

Page [3] is headed: 'King William's first Parliament. Sess. 6. in Scotland. Act anent the aliment of poor prisoners, October the 9th. 1696'.

A bifolium, for which there are three entries in Wing (2nd ed.), because the two leaves may be separated; the first leaf (M2898), the second leaf (S1247D) and M2899 for both leaves.

Above the imprint on p. [3] is an advertisement for: "Elixir febrifugium martis".
