|
L’Unione europea ha da sempre attirato milioni di immigranti, per la maggior parte venuti legalmente, alcuni altri illegalmente. L’immigrazione è un’opportunità e una sfida per l’Europa. Gli immigrati legali sono necessari per colmare le lacune nella forza di lavoro europea, dato che in Europa la popolazione invecchia, mentre il tasso di natalità decresce. Peraltro, l’UE deve contrastare l’immigrazione clandestina e cooperare con altri paesi per predisporre il ritorno degli immigrati irregolari su base volontaria. L’UE ha inoltre il dovere di proteggere i veri richiedenti asilo che fuggono dalle persecuzioni o da gravi danni. Obiettivo dei leader europei è quello di concordare una strategia comune al fine di aiutare i singoli paesi a far fronte alle sfide e a trarre vantaggio dalle opportunità. Per tale motivo essi hanno convenuto su un patto europeo sulla migrazione e l’asilo. [abstract tratto dalla pubblicazione] |

|
Karel Kosík (1926-2003) was one of the most remarkable Czech Marxist philosophers of the twentieth century. His reputation as a creative thinker is owed largely to his philosophical 'blockbuster' Dialectics of the Concrete , first published in Czechoslovakia in 1963. In reintroducing Kosík's philosophy to English-speaking readers, we show that Kosík's work is important not only as a leading intellectual document of the Prague Spring, but also as an original theoretical contribution with international impact that sheds light on the meaning of labour and praxis, democracy and economic structure, dialectics and the crises of modernity.
