Note generali

Erroneously attributed to Gilbert Burnet. Burnet was actually the translator of the declarations written for William of Orange by Gaspar Fagel and not the author of animadversions concerning them. See J.E.S. Clarke and H.C. Foxcroft, "Life of Gilbert Burnet", p. 243.

A reprinting of and reply to: William III, King of England.  The declaration of his Highness William Henry, by the grace of God, Prince of Orange, &c. of the reasons inducing him to appear in arms for preserving of the Protestant religion and for restoring the laws and liberties of England, Scotland and Ireland.

Also reprints "His Highnesses additional declaration" and includes "Animadversions" on both declarations (p. 19-30).

Reproduction of original in the British Library.
