Any subjects imprisoned by the authority of the unlawful assembly, calling itself a parliament, will be able to file a suit for damages against any who give warrant for detaining them, and if any are condemned to die, actions will lie against all judges, jurors, clerks, councillors, sheriffs, &c. concerned. No subjects are to pay taxes to the pretended government. Cf. Steele.
