A true relation of His Majesties motion from Wales to Lichfield in Stafford shire [[electronic resource] ] : and from thence to Tutbury Castle, &c. neer which, Sir John Gell, and some of the Stafford forces, fell on the rere of his horse, routed them, and forced them to flee. Also, the marches of the Scots, under the command of Lieutenant Generall Lesley, in pursuit of His Majesties horse to Welbeck-House; who, with Sir John Gells, Col. Poynzs, and Colonell Rositers forces, consisting of 10600 horse and dragoons, have blocked up the enemy. And how the countrey people do rise, and block up all passages, so that the enemy cannot march. Published according to order |
