Note generali

A translation of books 1 and 2 of the "Chroniques".

Middleton's name and address from colophon. Publication date conjectured by STC. Includes some sheets printed by Richard Redman, ca. 1535, possibly to make up a lack in first edition stock (STC).

In this edition, b1r col. 2 line 3 from bottom ends "kyng in his be" (no hyphen); b2r col. 1 line 1 has "lytell hakeneys,".

Identified as STC 11398+ on UMI microfilm reel 274.

Reproductions of the original in the Henry E. Huntington Library and Art Gallery.

Appears at reel 274 and at reel 1817 (same copy filmed twice).
