STC states this is a translation of chapters 1-20 of part 1 of a French version by François de Vernassal of the anonymous Spanish romance "Primaleon", a continuation of "Palmerin de Oliva". Misattributed to Francisco de Moraes. Others indicate that Munday translated up to chapter 32 of Vernassal's work.
