Originally published in 1688 as "Remarks of the government of severall parts of Germanie, Denmark, Sweedland, Hamburg, Lubeck, and Hansiactique townes, but more particularly of the United Provinces". Most editions subsequent to the 1693 edition employ the 1693 title.

In this setting of title page, line 15 begins "with".

A reissue of the 1691 edition (Wing C631) with new title page and with quire F mostly reset and quire *f added. Three new plates have been added to illustrate the new text.
