The format of this collection raised suspicions in Commons because it embodied proclamations "in such form as acts of parliament formerly have been, and still are used to be" printed. Nevertheless, the collection facilitated page reference to the content of proclamations judged particularly grievous, items which were essentially voided in STC 8451--STC. |
