Plates have superimposed moveable flaps.

This ed. uses the plates of the Dutch ed. of 1667, whereas later English eds. have re-engraved plates. The Dutch plates in turn were based on the 1613 Latin ed., instead of the revised 1619 ed. which formed the basis of Latin and German eds.
