Sommario/riassunto

Strategic Conflict offers a research-based, accessible analysis of how people can manage conflict productively. Moving beyond the basics of conflict, it examines interpersonal situations in which conflict occurs and promotes strategic communicative responses based on the latest theoretical research. Daniel J. Canary and his colleagues add personal observations, media examples, and samples of actual interaction to provide concrete illustrations of the research findings. This comprehensive volume provides students with the tools to understand conflict in real-world contexts. ?

Note generali

Initials; title vignette, a variant of McK. 379, without printer's initials.

Signatures: A-C⁴ (A₁ blank) D³.

Preface signed: T.G.  Henrietta R. Palmer (List of English editions and translations of Greek and Latin classics, London, 1911, p. 42) leaves these initials unidentified, whereas the Short-title-catalogue identifies them with Thomas Gokin. Both designate the initials as those of the translator, but the preface clearly states that the "worthy and learned Gentleman the translator hereof ... bestowed the same [translation] vpon mee; and I as freely tender it to others"; which seems to indicate

that T.G. is not the translator.

Reproduction of original in: Bodleian Library.
