Et si le héros de cinéma et le manager efficace selon les manuels spécialisés partageaient un certain nombre de traits comportementaux sur la longue durée ? Alors, le recours au cinéma dans les enseignements en sciences sociales et en gestion, qui se développe fortement depuis une vingtaine d’années, ne reposerait pas seulement sur le pouvoir d’illustration de l’image animée. Il révélerait une figure à la fois mythique et pragmatique de héros, proposée en modèle aux sociétés modernes, ancrée dans la culture populaire et une éthique dominante du monde du travail. À partir d’un corpus d’une trentaine de traités de management et de plus de deux cents films américains, ce livre brosse le portrait d’un héros-leader managérial et hollywoodien qui est à l’origine d’un ensemble de prescriptions, en partie paradoxales, touchant aux domaines de l’action, de l’innovation et des interactions sociales. |
