The original publisher John Dunton considered the narrative fictitious and ascribed it to the "methodizer" Richard Sault.  Cf. John Dunton's Life and errors, 1818, v. 1, p. 154, and Dict. Nat. Biog., 2d ed., v. 17, p. 803.

Brit. Mus. Cat. and Halkett and Laing call for two parts, although LC, McAlpin, and Folger editions have only one part.
