Note generali

The Thirty-nine Articles of 1563.

Actual publication date from STC.

Running title reads: Articles of religion.

A4r catchword: 'and'; text of Articles in roman type, the only 4⁰ edition listed in STC (2nd ed.) 10054 not to have them is in the British Library.  A2v has arms 26: garter, no supporters, with rose and thistle above; these arms were used in the 1630's by R. Young, e.g. in 16731 and 16735, but their appearance in the present item seems to be much more worn. The Bodleian Library copy was used for subscription to the act of uniformity on 16 October 1664--STC.

Reproductions of the originals in the Guildhall Library and the Cambridge University Library.

Appears at reel 1413 (Guildhall Library copy) and at reel 1518 (Cambridge University Library copy).
