|
The Baño Nuevo 1 cave is a unique and relevant archaeological site for the study of the regional prehistory of Aisén, from the
Patagonia and the South American region, particularly for the set of human burials deposited during the
Early Holocene and its long occupational sequence. In this study, the significance of the archaeobotanical record is assessed
of Baño Nuevo 1, from a combination of the macro and microscopic lines of evidence, highlighting its
contribution to archaeological information discussing plant supply strategies and their uses among
the steppe hunter-gatherer groups settled in the place for more than seven thousand five hundred years.
Carolina Belmar, Archaeologist specialized in Archeobotany, presents her new book, in which she addresses the

Le présent recueil présente l’apport de la recherche récente sur le règne de Henri III dont l’historiographie a été totalement renouvelée depuis une dizaine d’années. On est sorti de la « légende noire » pour atteindre une meilleure compréhension de l’homme, de ses convictions religieuses, de son intelligence politique. In these three essays, Professor Granger explains the process of constructing and evaluating an empirical model. Drawing on a wide range of cases and vignettes from economics, finance, politics and environment economics, as well as from art, literature, and the entertainment industry, Professor Granger combines rigour with intuition to provide a unique and entertaining insight into one of the most important subjects in modern economics. Chapter 1 deals with Specification. The process of specifying a model is discussed using deforestation in the Amazon region of Brazil as an illustration. Chapter 2 considers Evaluation, and argues that insufficent evaluation is undertaken by economists, and that models should be evaluated in terms of the quality of their output. In Chapter 3, the question of how to evaluate forecasts is considered at several levels of increasing depth |
