Wehrmacht in der NS-Diktatur Die Wehrmacht als Besatzungsmacht war im Osten Träger der nationalsozialistischen Gewaltpolitik, sie unterschied sich hierin kaum von der Zivilverwaltung. Seit dem Angriff auf die Sowjetunion war die Wehrmacht nicht allein mit dem Kampf gegen die Rote Armee beschäftigt, sondern verwaltete zugleich als Besatzungsmacht weite Teile des Landes. Dieter Pohl analysiert erstmals umfassend die Behandlung von Zivilisten und Kriegsgefangenen im rückwärtigen Operationsgebiet.
