• Sommario/riassunto: Lernen jenseits des üblichen schulischen Alltags – das Bildungsjahr an der Hermann-Lietz-Schule Schloss Bieberstein eröffnet Jugendlichen die Möglichkeit, sich im globalen Horizont zu »bilden«: durch Reisen in ferne Länder, Begegnungen mit Verschiedenheit und ökologischem Engagement. Damit gehört dieses Konzept zu den interessantesten reformpädagogischen Projekten der Gegenwart. Ein Jahr lang widmen sich Schüler jenseits der üblichen schulischen Spielregeln von Leistungsmessung und Leistungsvergleich dem Prozess der »Bildung« im ursprünglichen Sinne – als Reflexion und Verarbeitung ihrer Weltwahrnehmung und als Annäherung an individuelle Verantwortung und Mündigkeit. Mit dieser Konzeption globaler Bildung werden Motive kritisch weiterentwickelt, die der Schulgründer Hermann Lietz vor über 100 Jahren in seinem Programm sozialer Erziehung formuliert hatte.
