Der vorliegende Band begibt sich auf die Suche nach den Schlüsselakteuren und -institutionen des deutschen, österreichischen und schweizerischen Gesellschafts- und Kapitalmarktrechts. Neun Einzelbeiträge vermessen den Einfluss von Spruchpraxis, Wissenschaft und Ministerialbürokratie, der Firmenbuch- und Registergerichte, der Rechtsanwaltschaft und der Abschlussprüfer sowie der Übernahmekommission auf die Pflege und Fortentwicklung beider Zwillingsfächer.
