This volume presents a collection of newly commissioned essays on the work of Susan Stebbing (1885–1943). Stebbing was an important figure in the development of analytic philosophy in the first half of the twentieth century, and a pioneer of the social utility of philosophy and of the application of logical analysis to critical inquiry into language use.
