philanthropy. It introduces broad context and sub-themes of each type of TSOs, with specific reference to the Indian economy and role of government in promoting Social Enterprises. It presents the theoretical foundation and its application to third sector organizations in the Indian context. It explores the perspective on capital formation by the third sector organizations and the option for resource mobilization by TSOs. There is a dedicated chapter to analysis of different types of social innovation as it is imperative to understand potential contribution of SEs. This book also includes an assessment of the impact of TSOs, process of scaling, emergence of strategies adopted Corporate Social Enterprises (CSE), and capacity development in the third sector. This book contains concepts andtheories, with illustrative cases at the end of each chapter.
