|
The guide is intended for use by engineers familiar with the design of conventionally reinforced concrete structures but who have little or no experience of the use of FRP rods or grids as embedded reinforcement. This guide is in the form of suggested changes to the British design codes BS 8110: Structural use of concrete Parts 1 & 2 and BS 5400-4 Code of practice for design of concrete bridges. The approaches adopted are in line with similar recommendations being developed elsewhere in the world, principally in Japan, the USA and Canada. |
