Sommario/riassunto

Die Bedeutung des Lernens für den Lebenslauf hat sich in den vergangenen Jahren deutlich verändert. Lernen überschreitet eine Grenze, indem es aus den Institutionen in den Alltag wandert und zum integrativen und wichtigen Bestandteil von Biografie wird. Diese Veränderung verlangt neue bildungspolitische Grundlagen sowie neue Formen der Wissens- und Kompetenzvermittlung durch Bildungsträger. Der Band stellt das Thema "Entgrenzung des Lernens" in den Mittelpunkt und verknüpft relevante Forschungserkenntnisse aus dem Ausland mit den Entwicklungslinien der deutschen Weiterbildungsforschung.  Die vorgestellten Ergebnisse sind Resultate internationaler Forschungsnetzwerke zur Weiterbildung, zu deren Auf- und Ausbau der scheidende wissenschaftliche Direktor des Deutschen Instituts für Erwachsenenbildung (DIE), Ekkehard Nuissl, maßgeblich beigetragen hat. Ihm ist dieses Buch gewidmet.  The importance of learning for life has changed drastically over the past years. Learning crosses a line by moving away from the institutions into everyday life and by becoming an integrative and important part of one's biography. This change requires new fundaments for educational policies as well as new instruction methods for knowledge and competences on the part of educational providers.  The publication brings the topic "Dissolution of learning boundaries" into the forefront and links relevant research results from abroad with the lines of development of the German further education research. The findings presented are the results of international research networks regarding further education. Ekkehard Nuissl, the outgoing Academic Director of the Deutsches Institut für Erwachsenenbildung (DIE, German Institute of Adult Education), whom this book is dedicated to, contributed significantly to the development and expansion of these networks.
