Nella sua vita centenaria, Giuseppe Prezzolini (1882-1982) è stato il testimone – e per certi versi l’«archivista» – di un percorso secolare della storia e della cultura italiane e non solo. Senza che lui l’abbia cercato, la sua vita è stata un crocevia ineguagliabile di incontri ed esperienze: fondatore e anima della «Voce», la più importante rivista culturale italiana del Novecento, amico e corrispondente di decine di personaggi, da Carducci a Gramsci, da Apollinaire a Croce, da Oriana Fallaci a Montanelli, è stato il primo intellettuale moderno, con una visione multiculturale tuttora rara, aperto all’interventismo nel mondo e non chiuso nell’accademismo ottocentesco.
