• Sommario/riassunto: Dependent Archipelagos in the Law of the Sea examines the archipelagic concept in international law of the sea with respect to dependent archipelagos, both coastal and outlying. The monograph offers a thorough examination of the regime of straight baselines, and the implications arising from their application to archipelagos. It further analyses the practice of States with regard to the delimitation of ; the maritime zones of archipelagos, and assesses its value both as an element contributing to the interpretation of the Law of the Sea Convention - especially related to the application of article 7 - and as a factor leading to new developments in international law with an emphasis on customary law.

• Sommario/riassunto: L'ombrine ocellée, Sciaenops ocellatus, originaire du sud des États-Unis, a été introduite à des fins aquacoles d'abord en Martinique puis dans différentes parties du monde, dont les autres départements français d'outre-mer. Elle y fait l'objet d'un élevage commercial, soutenu par des travaux de recherche, notamment à l'Ifremer, qui ont conduit à la maîtrise de son cycle biologique au milieu des années 90. Cet ouvrage décrit la biologie de cette espèce, son élevage, sa production commerciale et son marché. Un panorama de l'état de l'art et de ses potentialités aquacoles est ensuite établi, à partir des travaux réalisés par différentes équipes dans le monde, françaises en particulier.
